Fatal crash update, Townsville: A 22-month old girl has died from injuries received in a two-vehicle crash last night.  The crash occurred at 8.30pm at the intersection of Ingham Road and Sturt Street, Townsville when a white sedan collided with the side of a red sedan. The young child was in the rear of the red car and was thrown from the vehicle upon impact. She was taken by ambulance to Townsville Hospital suffering critical injuries but died later in hospital. Also in the vehicle were a man, a woman and two children who were not injured. The female driver of the white sedan was treated at hospital for shock. The Forensic Crash Unit will continue investigations and interview witnesses today.  Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.

Indecent assaults, Brisbane: Police are investigating a number of complaints of indecent assaults on female shop assistants in Brisbane on Saturday.  Between 9.15am and 12.30pm a man has entered five clothing stores in the Brisbane City area where he asked the shop assistant to hold a piece of clothing up against them to gauge sizing. The man then touched the women inappropriately. He is described as around 20 to 30-years-old and of either Middle Eastern or Indian appearance.  He is described as short with a slim build, olive skin and clean shaven with dark hair.  He was wearing either a white singlet with dark writing or a dark singlet with a v-neck and dark coloured shorts and thongs

Sexual assault arrest, Nanango: A 27-year-old man will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court today charged with a number of sexual offences including rape.  The arrest is the result of investigations into a complaint from two 15-year-old girls that they were allegedly sexually assaulted at Nanango around 8pm on Saturday night.
