Morning roundup November 3

Robbery with violence, Elanora: Police investigations are continuing into a robbery with violence at Elanora last night.  Around 7pm a 26-year-old female withdrew money at an ATM on the eastern side of the Pines Shopping Centre.  She was walking back to her car parked across the road and was about to cross the road when a car stopped near her.  The front male passenger asked her for directions and as she spoke to the man the car edged forward and he has reached out of the window and grabbed her purse.  The two struggled and the woman tried to get her purse back by putting her head and upper body in the window to reach for her purse.  At this stage the driver sped forward around 40 to 50 meters with the woman struggling to hold on to the car.  She screamed out for help and was forced to eventually let go of the car after being kicked in the chest causing her to fall to the roadway.  The car drove off heading north on ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />KP McGrath Drive.  She was treated at the scene for minor injuries to her hands and feet.  The car is described as a 1994 grey Mitsubishi Magna containing two men in the front and a female in the rear.
