Morning Round-up

Break and Enter, Mount Isa: Police are investigating a break and enter into a hotel in Marion Street, Townview that occurred early yesterday.  Around 5am a man broke into the hotel and tried to steal the free standing Automatic Teller Machine, and caused extensive damage to the machine. The man is described as being of a Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175cm tall, and wearing white sandshoes, blue baggy jeans, and grey and black horizontal striped long sleeve hooded jacket. Drug charges, Gold Coast: Police have charged a 40-year-old man after a search warrant was executed at a residence on Peachey Road at Ormeau. Police allegedly located a quantity of drugs and other paraphernalia. The man was arrested yesterday and has been charged with ten counts of possess relevant substance, five counts of possess dangerous drugs, three counts of fail to appear, two counts of possess prohibited items, two counts of possess thing, and one count each of possess utensil, possess instructions to produce a dangerous drug, and contravene direction.  The man is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.
