Morning Round-up Second edition
Armed robbery, Fortitude Valley: Police are investigating the armed robbery of a 21-year-old man in Fortitude Valley last night. The victim was walking along Warren Street towards Barry Parade around 10.30pm when he was approached by a man. The man used a knife to threaten the victim before physically assaulting him, resulting in minor injuries, and stealing his tobacco. The man is described as being of Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 170cm tall, of a slim build with black hair.

Fall from height, Fortitude Valley: An 18-year-old man is in a critical condition after falling approximately four meters at a residential address early this morning. Police were notified of the incident just before 5am after the man was located by a passer by. At this stage there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. However, police are investigating how the incident occurred.
Assault charges, Flinders View (Ipswich): Police have charged two men, aged 19 and 18, in relation to an assault in Flinders View last night. It is alleged one man threw an object at a vehicle before then having a verbal altercation with the driver. During this time it is further alleged the man assaulted the driver and passenger before damaging the vehicle. The second man then allegedly threatened the victims with what appeared to be a replica firearm. The 18-year-old man has been charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm and willful damage and two counts of common assault. He is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on December 14. The 19-year-old man has been charged with one count of going armed to cause fear. He is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
