Officer seriously assaulted, Gordon Park: A 17-year-old male has been charged after allegedly spitting in the mouth of a female sergeant at Gordon Park last night. Police were at the man’s Khartoum Street residence in relation to another matter about 9.15pm when the man allegedly became violent towards police and spat at the officer. He was arrested and charged with serious assault of a police officer and obstructing police and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Officer seriously assaulted, Petrie: A police officer was allegedly elbowed in the face and knocked to the ground by a teenager from Alderley early today. Officers from the Railway Squad were investigating a disturbance at Petrie railway station about 12.45am when they had cause to speak with the youth, aged 17. He was placed under arrest at which time he allegedly became violent and struggled with police. During the struggle, he allegedly elbowed the sergeant in the cheek. The teen has been charged with assaulting a police officer, obstructing police and public nuisance and has been bailed to appear in Petrie Magistrates Court on December 7.
Glassing arrest, Woolloongabba: Police have charged a 27-year-old Coorparoo man with three offences in relation to the assault of a 26-year-old man at a Woolloongabba hotel yesterday. The man will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow on one count each of grievous bodily harm, acts inteded to maim, and wounding. Police are continuing their investigations into the incident. An updated condition report for the victim is not available at this time.
Indecent treatment arrest, Southbank: A 22-year-old South Brisbane man will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow after he was charged with exposing a child under 16 years to an indecent picture. The alleged incident occurred about 12.30pm yesterday at Southbank Parklands. The child was not touched or physically injured in any way during the incident.
Armed robbery, Cleveland: Police are seeking public assistance to identify a knife-wielding man who robbed a Cleveland service station around midnight last night. The offender entered the store on the corner of Shore and Grant Streets, jumping over the counter and pointing a fishing knife at the employee. The man escaped with a sum of money and was last seen running west along Shore Street. The employee was not injured. The offender is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall with a solid build and was wearing a dark grey balaclava, a blue checked flannelette shirt, blue jeans, brown runners and white gloves.
