Fatal traffic crash, Brassall

Police are currently on the scene of a fatal crash at Brassall that has killed a man in his early 20s.

It is believed the man was walking near the intersection of Hunter Street and Loyne Street around 11.10am when he was hit by a car.

The male driver of the car was uninjured and the pedestrian died at the scene.

Police from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstance surrounding the crash.

Hunter Street is closed between Mihi and Haig streets and is expected to remain closed for some time.  Diversions are in place and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
