Morning Round-up Second Edition

Drug charges, Cairns: Police have charged a 42-year-old man with several drug related charges in Cairns last night. Around 9.35pm police intercepted a vehicle in Edmonton and allegedly located a quantity of Cocaine. The man has been charged with four counts of unlawfully supplying dangerous drugs, two counts of possessing property used in the commission of a crime and one count of drug trafficking. He is due to face Cairns Magistrates Court today.

Missing elderly man, Oxley: Police are appealing to media outlets especially radio to continue broadcasting information regarding the missing man Les Winstanley. Family and police hold grave concerns for his health and safety. Mr Winststanley was last seen around 8.05am on Wednesday at Seventeen Mile Rocks Road. He is 83-years-old and suffers from a medical condition causing him to be disorientated and he has difficulty in communicating. He is described as around 166cm tall, with a medium complexion and grey hair, balding on the top.  He was last seen wearing a green and white striped top, brown shorts and brown shoes.
