Man charged over Westcourt murder
Cairns Detectives have arrested a 30-year-old Bungalow man in relation to the murder of Niko Wowo at Westcourt early last week.
The man was charged with one count of murder a short time ago and is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court later this morning.
The body of Mr Wowo was located on a footbridge near the intersection of Mulgrave Road and Brown Street at Westcourt, at about 1.40am on Tuesday November 24.
Investigating officers have praised the public for their interest and co-operation with the investigation.
Valuable information was passed on to the investigating team which had a direct result in the subsequent identification and arrest of the suspect.
