Afternoon Round-up

Pharmacy break-in, Logan Central: Police are investigating a burglary at a pharmacy on Wembley Road, Logan Central which occurred earlier this morning. Around 12.35am two males smashed the front door and stole a quantity of cold and flu medication. The pair fled the scene in a 90's model white Holden Commodore. The males are both described as being of Caucasian appearance with slim builds. One was wearing long black pants, a light brown hoodie with a black pattern on the back, a pair of white sneakers and a pair of white gloves. The second male was wearing long dark pants and a long sleeved dark coloured shirt. Food store robbery, Bethania: A man armed with a knife attempted to rob a food store on King Arthur Boulevard at Bethania yesterday afternoon.  Around 5pm the man entered the store and made demands for money from a female store attendant. The attendant grabbed a golf club and yelled to another female store employee who was in the back.  This employee also attended the counter armed with a baseball bat. Both women confronted the man and screamed for him to leave the store. The man fled empty handed. Police believe a second man who had entered the store earlier may also be involved in this offence as he was seen fleeing with the offender. The offender armed with the knife is described as around 18 years, slim fit build with short brown hair and was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt, dark shorts and a cream coloured cap with an unknown motif. The second suspect is described as aged in his late teens, slim build, fair complexion with dark brown curly hair to his collar and was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt with horizontal stripes, dark coloured knee length shorts.  Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.

Armed robbery, Daisy Hill:  A man armed with a gun has entered a tavern at Daisy Hill overnight and threatened two female staff members before escaping with a sum of cash.  Shortly after midnight the two women were confronted by the man who forced them into an office before robbing the safe. The man kicked out the front glass door before fleeing in an unknown direction. Neither woman was harmed during the incident. The man is described as having an olive complexion and was wearing a blue hooded jumper, a black balaclava, blue baggy jeans and blue and white shoes. Deception Bay Armed Robbery

Armed robbery, Deception Bay: Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their investigations into the overnight armed robbery of a Deception Bay service station. Around 1.15 a man armed with an implement entered the Deception Bay Road service station and demanded cash before fleeing on a pushbike. He is described as Caucasian, approximately 20-years-old, 170cms tall with a slim build and dark brown hair. The man was wearing black and white board shorts and a light coloured jacket. No one was injured during the robbery.
