Arrests over Palm Beach man’s death on January 27, 2010
Members of the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch, Southern Investigative Group and State Crime Operations Command, Homicide Squad have today closed operation Ice Excalibur, the investigation into the death of a 56-year-old man at Palm Beach on January 27 this year.
Police investigations centred on a number of incidents surrounding this alleged assault and as a result of their investigations police have today arrested and charged a 22-year-old Palm Beach man with manslaughter.
He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow. The man has also been charged with three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, go armed so as to cause fear and enter dwelling with intent, arising from associated incidents.
A 33-year-old Carrara man has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm arising from an associated incident. He is due to appear in the Coolangatta Magistrates Court on March 13.
A 21-year-old Palm Beach man has been arrested and charged with enter dwelling with intent and assault occasioning bodily harm arising from an associated incident. He is also due to appear in the Coolangatta Magistrates Court March 13.
A 24-year-old Palm Beach man has been charged with enter dwelling with intent and assault occasioning bodily harm arising from an associated incident. He will appear in the Coolangatta Magistrates Court on March 13.

Investigations are continuing however as these matters are now before the court no further comment can be made.
