Morning Round-up Second Edition

Update - Search for missing boy, Cooroibah (Sunshine Coast): Police located a body of a child believed to be the 22-month old boy reported missing yesterday. Police were notified around 6pm that the boy was missing from an address on Carriage Way. The body was located by police divers around 7.30am in a dam near the child’s family home. No further information is available.

Date correction - Wilful exposure, Graceville: Police are appealing for the public’s help with locating a man responsible for wilful exposure and inappropriate behaviour at Graceville on Sunday January 17. Around 10.40am a man has parked an older model green station wagon adjacent to the Graceville Train Station and walked on to the station platforms. He has sat down on the seats and held a red clip board over his lap. The man has then allegedly exposed himself in view of other members of the public. The man then left the station, walked back to his vehicle and drove away in a westerly direction. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, around 178cm tall with an average build. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt with green shorts, black thongs and brown sunglasses. Police believed the man pictured may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

 

Shootings, Forest Lake: Police have charged a 20-year-old man with attempted murder following a drive-by shooting incident in Bimba Street, Forest Lake on February 20. Around 2.15am a man allegedly shot six bullets at the residence from a vehicle. No one was injured during the incident. The Jamboree Heights man is due to appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court this morning.

Drug-related charges, Bells Bridge: Police have charged five people after executing a search warrant at an Ellis Road address last night. Around 10.55pm officers allegedly located items associated with the production of methyl amphetamines and six cannabis plants. Four man aged 18, 33, 49 and 55, and a 17-year-old woman have been charged with various offences including produce dangerous drugs and possess dangerous drug. The 33-year-old is due to appear in the Gympie Magistrates Court today. The 18-year-old man and the 17-year-old woman are due to appear in the Gympie Magistrates Court on March 15. The other people are due to appear in court at a later date.

House fire, Robina: Police are investigating an early morning fire that destroyed a house in Ben Lexcen Way at Robina today. Around 4.50am police were notified of the fire which engulfed the two-storey house. The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no one was injured during the incident. Police and fire investigators will return to the scene today to commence investigations into the cause of the fire.
