Armed robbery, Elanora: Police are investigating the robbery of a man at Elanora last night. About 9pm the victim, a 21-year-old man, was using an ATM at the Pines Shopping Centre when he was approached by a man and woman. The male offender produced a knife and stole money and a mobile phone from the victim. The two offenders then fled on foot in a southerly direction. The male offender is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 30’s, with light brown to greying hair, approximately 180cm tall, with a medium build and a fair complexion. He was wearing a light coloured long sleeve t-shirt and a brown cap. The female offender is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in her late 30’s, approximately 160cm tall, with a very slim build and a fair complexion. She was wearing a white hooded top and a pair of dark sunglasses. Fatal crash, Coomera: A 29-year-old Pacific Pines man died after his motorcycle collided head on with a small truck at Coomera this morning. The crash occurred on Foxwell Road around 8.45am. The motorcyclist died at the scene. The 52-year-old male driver of the truck was taken to hospital with leg injuries. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
