Operation Hotel Pursuit results, Toowoomba: Officers from Toowoomba District, with the assistance of Operation Support Command, last night completed a successful drug operation at a night club in Toowoomba. Three drug detection dogs were deployed at the university night club and detected a number of drugs on patrons. One man, aged 19, was allegedly found to be in possession of a number of pills (believed to be ecstasy). Subsequently a Toowoomba residence was searched resulting in the alleged location of further drugs and utensils. A 19-year-old man has been charged with two counts of possess a dangerous drug and one count of possess utensils. He is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on March 20.
Suspicious activity, Willowbank: Police have released an image of a vehicle similar to the one driven by a man they would like to talk in relation to suspicious activity at Willowbank on Tuesday. A young girl
was walking on Willowbank Drive about 4.30pm when a small aqua green sedan stopped beside her and a man got out and asked her to get into the car. The girl ran away and reported the incident to police. The man is described as being aged around 40-years, approximately 180cm tall, with a very slim build, very fair complexion, a light brown beard and a shaved head. He was wearing a pair of blue shorts and no shirt. The girl was not injured during the incident.
