Fatal house fire, Alpha: A body was located this afternoon in the remains of a house destroyed by fire earlier today. Formal identification has not yet been carried out and investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.
Stealing, Currumbin: A 38-year-old Coolangatta man has been charged after an alleged theft from a Currumbin premises this afternoon. It will be alleged that at about 2:30pm the man stole a quantity of cash before being detained by staff. He has been charged with burglary and will appear at Southport Magistrates Court on February 15.
