Search continues for missing toddler, Cooroibah (near Tewantin): Police, SES volunteers and fire and rescue officers will continue searching at first light today for a 22-month-old boy missing from his Sunshine Coast home. Police were notified about 6pm yesterday that the boy had wandered away from his home on Carriage Way at Cooroibah near Tewantin. Concerns are held for the boy’s welfare as the area where he is missing is heavily wooded with numerous dams. Police divers are proceeding to the property this morning to assist in the search.

Third man dies after cliff fall, Point Cartwright: The second man who was critically injured after falling from a cliff at Point Cartwright on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday passed away in hospital before 11o’clock last night. The 23-year-old was being treated in the Royal Brisbane Hospital and is the third man to die following the incident about 6.30pm Saturday. He was injured after he and another man, 20, went to the aide of a 22-year-old man who had fallen from the cliff. The 22-year-old died at the scene and the 20-year-old passed away in the Royal Brisbane Hospital yesterday. Police investigations into the incident are continuing. Serious single vehicle crash, Miles: Police are investigating a single vehicle crash at Miles which has left the 18-year-old male driver with severe head, chest and internal injuries. The man was last seen by friends about 3am yesterday however the crash scene on Butlers Road was not located until about 6am. Initial investigations indicate the driver has over-corrected after his utility left the edge of the road, causing the vehicle to slide through a culvert and roll a number of times. It appears the driver was thrown from the vehicle. He was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane where his condition was listed as critical. Serious single vehicle crash, Bowenville (near Dalby): A 17-year-old woman was seriously injured after the vehicle she was a passenger in rolled at Bowenville near Dalby last night. The four-wheel-drive was travelling on Blaxland Road about 6.40pm when the 22-year-old female driver lost control. The driver was taken to Toowoomba hospital but her injuries are not considered life-threatening. There were three children in the vehicle who were not seriously injured. The 17-year-old woman was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment for internal injuries. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating. Search for three missing canoeists, Mitchell River near Mount Molloy: A search will re-commence at first light today for a man, a woman and a child who failed to reach their destination after a canoeing trip on the Mitchell River in far north Queensland yesterday. The trio left the Mary Farms area at Mount Carbine about 1pm but did not reach their intended pick-up location at Cooktown Crossing by night fall. A search was conducted in the evening involving a helicopter fitted with infra-red monitoring however the missing people were not located. SES volunteers will continue the search along with police and fire and rescue officers today.
