Morning round-up
Armed robbery, Tugun: A man was robbed while withdrawing cash from an ATM at Tugun last night. The man was at the cash machine at a shop on Golden Four Drive about 9.15pm when he was approached by two people, both wielding knives. They threatened the victim before one of the offenders grabbed the cash from the machine, then they both ran off. The victim was not injured in any way. The first offender was aged 25 to 30 years, about 180cm tall with a solid build. He was wearing a white jacket and red sleeves, a light yellow shirt, black track pants and a black beanie. The second offender was aged between 25 and 30 aged and had a thin build. The gender of this offender is unknown but he or she was wearing a light-coloured long-sleeved jumper, a grey floppy hat, khaki pants and was carrying a white shoulder bag. Ram raid, Acacia Ridge: Four offenders stole a quantity of alcohol from a non-profit community organisation at Acacia Ridge last night after driving a car through the front of the premises. About 10.20pm, a stolen car was driven through a perimeter fence and then through the main entrance doors of The Spanish Centre on Mortimer Road. Four offenders exited the vehicle and entered the bar area, stealing a quantity of alcohol before escaping on foot, leaving the stolen vehicle behind.
