Vessel fire, Yeppoon: Police are investigating a fire which damaged a boat at Rosslyn Bay Marina around 9pm last night. The 14m boat was moored at the marina when the fire was noticed on the unoccupied vessel. QFRS attended and police are investigating the cause of the fire.

Attempted robbery, Brassall: Police are searching for a man who tried to rob a convenience store on Hunter Street last night. Around 1am a man approached the counter and threatened staff with a knife. The man demanded money but left empty handed after the attendant refused. The man is described as being 18-20 years old, 178cm tall, medium build and wearing black shorts and black jumper with a hood. He was last seen on foot headed towards Lyons Street. Armed robbery, Coomera: Police are investigating the robbery of a takeaway food store on Reserve Road last night. A young man produced a knife and demanded money from the attendant at about 7.30pm. The man fled with cash and was last seen running to a nearby carpark.  The man is described as being Caucasian, 16-17 years of age, 173cm and wearing black jumper and grey shorts. High risk activity arrest, Rockhampton  Police charged a 26-year-old Koongal man with two charges of unregulated high risk activity and two obstruct police after alleged jumping from a bridge in Rockhampton. The man allegedly climbed onto the Fitzroy Bridge and jumped into the flooded Fitzroy River just before midnight last night. Water Police and QFRS Swift Water Rescue searched the river for the man who was later seen running away and he allegedly tried to evade police numerous times. The man was allegedly involved in the same activity the night before. He will appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court today.
