Unlawful wounding charges, Scarborough: A 25-year-old Redcliffe man will appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court charged with unlawful wounding. The man allegedly swung a machete at a group of youths in a park on Landsborough Avenue about 11pm last night. The victim attempted to grab the weapon and was cut across his hand. The man then ran from the park and was later apprehended by police.

Sexual assault, Bowen Hills: Police are investigating a reported assault of sexual nature at the at the RNA show-grounds yesterday. A man reported an incident which allegedly occurred just before 7pm in the amenities area. Police are conducting investigations.

Armed robbery, Upper Mt Gravatt: Police have charged a youth following the robbery of a store in a shopping centre on Logan Road yesterday. It is alleged that around 5.25 a youth walked behind the staff counter and produced a knife and then stole goods from the shop. A 15-year-old boy will be dealt with in accordance with the Youth Justice Act for armed robbery, going armed as to cause alarm and assaulting police. Further investigations are being conducted.

Unlawful wounding, Harristown: Police charged a 42-year-old local man with unlawful wounding following a physical altercation in a home in Cortess Street yesterday. It is alleged that two men argued at about 5pm before one man allegedly used a knife to stab the other in the arm. A 22-year-old man sustained a laceration to his arm and was transported by QAS to Toowoomba Base Hospital for surgery. The 42-year-old man will appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.
