Serious crash, Salisbury

Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating a serious crash on Kessels Road, Salisbury, last night that left a 29-year-old man with serious chest and head injuries.

Around 9.10pm, initial investigations suggest a van travelling west has collided with a sedan at the intersection of Kessels and Orange Grove Roads.

The impact of the collision has caused the car to be pushed into another sedan.

Both the driver and passenger of the van were treated for minor injuries at the scene, however, the driver of the car first struck, the 29-year-old man, had to be cut from his vehicle.

After the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service freed the man he was transported via the Queensland Ambulance Service to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment. His injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

The driver of the third vehicle sustained no major injuries.

Anyone with further information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.
