Assault charge, Acacia Ridge
Police have charged a 16-year-old boy after an incident at a park in Acacia Ridge last night.
Around 10.05pm police were called after the 16-year-old had become involved in an altercation with an 18-year-old man near Delorme Street.
As a result of the altercation the 18-year-old man received a possible broken jaw, head injuries and a wound to his left hand.
He was taken by Queensland Ambulance Service to Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment and his injuries are considered non-life threatening.
The 16-year-old has been charged with grievous bodily harm and unlawful wounding. He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
