Fatal crash, Coominya

Police are still at the scene of a fatal crash on Brisbane Valley Highway at Coominya.

Police were called to a single vehicle crash at about 2.30pm.  The crash occurred about 400m south of the Coominya Connection Road intersection.

One man believed to be in his late 20’s died at the scene and another man was airlifted to hospital in Brisbane.

The road is closed and motorists are asked to use the Warrego Highway and Gatton-Esk Road to avoid the crash area.  Divisions are also available via Fernvale – Forest Hill roads to Lowood.

No further details are available at this stage. Police investigations are continuing.
