Serious assault Bethania

A 22-year-old Holmview man was left with serious facial fractures after he was assaulted by three males on a train last evening.

The man was approached by the trio while travelling between Loganlea and Bethania stations around 9pm. They assaulted him, breaking his jaw, nose and an eye socket, before stealing a mobile phone.

The trio exited the train at Bethania Railway Station.

The man was transported to Logan Hospital where he is expected to undergo surgery for non life-threatening injuries.

The first male is described as a male of Aboriginal appearance in his early 20’s.

The second male is described as 193cm, Aboriginal appearance with a slim build, wearing a white shirt and denim shorts.

The third suspect is described as male of Aboriginal appearance in his early 20’s, wearing multi-coloured clothing.
