Update: Fatal crash, near Wamuran
A man has died after a single vehicle traffic crash on the D’Aguilar Highway near morning.
Preliminary information suggests around 10:30am, a heavy vehicle crashed on the highway west of Wamuran. The mobile crane had just passed Gamgee Road intersection when it lost control on a left hand bend and rolled.
The driver, a 58-year-old man from Kallangur died at the scene. A 38-year-old Deception Bay man who was a passenger, was seriously injured and taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital where he is in a critical condition.
The highway was reopened at around 2.30pm.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
