Armed robbery, Eastern Heights / Ipswich
Police are investigating an armed robbery of a service station in Eastern Heights overnight.
Preliminary investigations indicate a man entered the service station on the corner of Grange and Robertson Roads around 2am.
On approaching the store attendant, the man produced a knife and demanded the attendant lie on the floor. He then allegedly gained access to an ATM and stole a sum of cash.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police are searching for a man described as being Caucasian in appearance, 185cm with a proportionate build and brown hair.
At the time of the incident he was wearing dark jeans, a black jumper with a grey and white stripe across the chest and sleeves of it and a white cap.
