Fatal traffic crash, Bruce Highway, Maryborough

Police are currently at the scene of a fatal traffic crash approximately 12kms south of Maryborough.

Initial information suggests that two cars collided near the Matilda service station just after 6pm.

One person, believed to be a male, has died at the scene. No further information is available at this stage in relation to other people in the vehicles.

The Bruce Highway is currently closed in both directions. Police will set up alternative route for traffic as soon as possible. Motorists are asked to avoid using the highway if possible as delays will be considerable.

There is no further information at this time.
