Fatal traffic crash, Mareeba

Police were called to the scene of a fatal traffic crash at Mareeba this afternoon.

Preliminary information suggests around 2.15pm, a bicycle and car collided near the intersection of Martin Avenue and Mines Road.

One man, believed to be the cyclist, has died as a result.

The passengers of the car were transported to hospital as a precaution.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

There is no further information available at this time.
