Large grass fire Mareeba
Police and emergency services are currently at the scene of a large bush fire at Emerald End, Mareeba.
A large grass fire broke out on Shanty Creek Road just before 12.30.
Some residents of homes between Leotta and Bilwon Rd have self-evacuated as a precaution, however it is not believed any homes are at risk.
Shanty Creek Road has been closed to traffic at the intersection of Gilmore Road,
No one is injured as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
