Assault police, Kingaroy

A number of people will face court after three officers were assaulted in Kingaroy early this morning.

Police were called to a William Street residence just after 1am following reports of loud music being played at a large gathering.

As the officers were leaving the address, a male Senior Constable and two Constables, a male and female were allegedly punched and kicked by a group of teenagers.

A 16-year-old has been charged with one count each of assault and obstruct police.

Another 16-year-old has been charged with two counts each of assault and obstruct police.

The girls, from Kingaroy will be dealt with under the Provisions of the Youth Justices Act.

A 17-year-old girl from Norman Park has been charged with three counts of assault and one count of obstruct police.

An 18-year-old Booie man has been charged with contravene direction and obstruct police.

A 19-year-old local man has been charged with contravene direction, assault and obstruct police.

They have been bailed to appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on November 10.

The officers suffered minor cuts and bruises.
