Man charged with assault, Surfers Paradise
Police have charged a man following the serious assault of a 20-year-old man in Surfers Paradise last night.
It is alleged around 11.30pm an altercation took place between two men at the intersection of Surfers Paradise Boulevard and Clifford Street. A man sustained a serious head injury after an alleged punch to the head.
The victim was transported to the Gold Coast Hospital with a life threatening head injury.
A 21-year-old man from Surfers Paradise has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is expected to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
