Serious assault, Wulkuraka
Police have charged a teenager in relation to the serious assault on a man and a woman at Wulkuraka yesterday morning.
It will be alleged that sometime after 1am yesterday morning an argument took place which resulted in a 38-year old man being struck on the head with a blunt instrument. A 40-year-old woman was also allegedly struck in the eye by a projectile fired from a sling shot.
The man and the woman were both transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment and have since been released.
A 16-year-old boy was yesterday charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed and enter dwelling with intent. He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
