Missing man located deceased, Yatala
Police divers this morning located the body of a 27-year-old Woodridge man who had been missing from Stanmore Weir at Yatala since yesterday afternoon.
The man’s body was located in the Albert River shortly after 10am, approximately 300 metres downstream from where he went missing.
Investigations indicate that the man had been fishing off the side of the weir and appeared to be sucked into a drain when he was attempted to retrieve his fishing net at around 12.30pm yesterday.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
