Armed robbery, Runcorn
Police are searching for a man who robbed a supermarket at Runcorn last night.
Initial investigations indicate a man entered the Condamine Street store and approached the counter at around 10.35pm.
The man produced a knife and threatened a male employee before fleeing with a sum of cash and cigarettes.
The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 178cm tall and of a proportionate build.
He was wearing a black hooded jacket, blue jeans, white running shoes and a black balaclava over his face.
Investigations are continuing.
