The search for a 27-year-old Woodridge man missing from the Stanmore weir in Yatala will resume this morning.
Water Police and emergency services were called to the scene at around 12.30pm after the man was reported missing.
Preliminary information indicates the man had been fishing off the side of the weir and appeared to be sucked into a drain while he was attempting to retrieve his fishing net.
Police initiated a search and rescue operation shortly afterwards, however the search was suspended at around 7pm.
Police divers will continue the search today.
