Officer issued notice to appear, Central Region
A male senior constable from Central Region has been issued with a notice to appear for drink driving.
The officer was driving a Queensland Police Service vehicle while off-duty when it hit a light pole in Mackay about 2.30 this morning. No one was injured.
The 34-year-old officer, who allegedly had a blood alcohol content of .110%, is scheduled to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on December 19.
The incident will be considered as part of the QPS disciplinary process.
