Update incident Mackay
A man has been taken into police custody this afternoon following an incident in Mackay.
Initial information indicates the man made threats and barricaded himself inside a business in Central Park Road, Padget before 10am today.
Police set up an exclusion zone to ensure public safety and nearby businesses were evacuated.
Around 3pm a fire occurred in the building that the man had been barricaded inside.
All roads have now been reopened and the exclusion zone is no longer in place.
No one was injured during the incident.
