The Queensland Police Service is still seeking urgent public assistance to help locate an 18-month-old girl who was taken from Banyo last night.
Further information has been given to Police that:
Police hold grave concerns for the safety of the child as the mother has threatened to harm the child and herself.
At about 8.15pm the child’s mother took the child from their home at 12 Olivia Street.
The mother was driving a green Mazda hatchback 1983, registration number 607 FQC.
Door knocks have been conducted in the Banyo area, an MIR had been set up at Police Headquarters in the city and police have conducted patrols throughout the night in an attempt to locate the mother and child.
The 37-year-old mother is described as 160cm tall, with a fair complexion, slim build, with hazel coloured eyes, medium length brown hair with blonde streaks. She has tattoos of a tiger, a blue bird and a cloud on her stomach and a tattoo saying ‘forever stixey’ on her chest.
She is wearing black tracksuit pants and a light blue singlet.
The 18-month-old girl is wearing a pink poncho and a nappy.
