Welcome to the 4th Australasian Drug Strategy Conference

"The Queensland Police Service and the Australian Federal Police proudly co-hosted the 4th Australasian Drug Strategy Conference - Meeting the Future - Innovative and effective policy and practice - between October 22-25, 2007 at Conrad Jupiters on the Gold Coast, Queensland."

The conference was an information sharing forum to develop strategies aimed at reducing the negative effects of alcohol and other drug use. Plenary sessions, panels and a number of concurrent sessions covering diverse topics were on offer. 

Each day focused on a specific theme:

The conference attracted speakers from Australia and overseas, streams included supply reduction; harm reduction; demand reduction; alcohol and other licit drug use; illicit drug use; and research/intelligence/data management.
