| A beautiful Spring day confronted players as they turned out on the turf for the 2007 QP&ES Games for Hockey. After a late start due to the Gympie Fire Brigade side recalling themselves to duty enroute to help at a crash scene, play was under way at a hectic pace using cross field games. At the conclusion of the round robin play, the Police sides from HQ, Metro North and Ipswich were ahead on points from the two Fire Brigade sides.
The finals were played in good spirit and a HQ side finished two goals ahead of the side from Metro North to win the gold medal. In the bronze play off, Ipswich were too good beating the other gallant QPS side which had two players fail to appear. Special thanks to all the players who took part, and to those who also umpired.
