Riverside Drive, West End.
The Road Race was conducted at 7am on 9th September, 2007 at Riverside Drive, West End in conjunction with the Brisbane Road Runners Club.
It was very pleasing to see 34 runners and walkers turn up at participate in the 10k/5k run and 5k walk. The numbers were well up on last games.
Those that participated thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the run course. The weather was beautiful and sunny and temperate. The river looked absolutely world-class, smooth like glass with the rowing skulls also in training and Citycats traveling up and down. The walking track alongside the river also was being used by locals for exercise on that wonderful Sunday morning, everyone knew they were alive! |

RACE RESULTS
First Male in the 10k Run was Sean Webster running a cool 39:29 minutes and first Female was Camilla Williams coming in at 46:41minutes.
First Male to cross the line in the 5k Run was James Owen (Jim) at 19:11minutes and first Female was Kylie Moore at 25:22minutes.
In the 5k Walk, Coralee Stewart was the first female over the line and Andrew Lake the first male.
