OVERVIEW

The 2009 Police Games will be conducted on arguably the best single track in South East Queensland.  These races are suitable for both serious racers and recreational riders.  They are designed to encourage a wide range of riders to participate in a friendly and competitive environment.

Competition will consist of a cross-country circuit around 22km's (2 x 11km laps for males and females for age group medals), and for those enjoying the track, they can do a third lap with prizes for overall winners in Male and Female.  The course will be marked prior to competition.  Good riders should be able to cover a lap in about 35-40 minutes.

The track will be open on Saturday afternoon for practice laps and you can camp at the venue overnight or stay at Hidden Vale Resort. More info check website www.tailwindpromotions.com.au

There will be two competition tracks.  The Cross Country Track has a number of technical areas with some fast single track, some interesting climbs and good challenges..  The Downhill Track is fast and fun with a number of big jumps for the more advanced riders and easier routes for the less experienced.  The Downhill event is planned to be run in a Super D format.  Check website for further details www.tailwindpromotions.com.au

Participants must wear Australian Standard Approved hard shell helmets at all times.  Protective wear advisable for advanced riders on downhill course.
