REWARD:
The Minister for Police, Corrective Services and Sport has approved a reward of $250 000 be offered for information which leads to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the arson of the Oakdale Guest House, Ipswich on 29 December 1990 which resulted in the deaths of five occupants.

INDEMNITY FROM PROSECUTION:
In addition, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.
The allocation of the $250 000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of the Police Service.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
On 29 December 1990 a suspicious fire occurred at the Oakdale Guest House, 5 Milford Street, Ipswich. The guest house was completely gutted and five occupants, Edward Turner BOYNE, Salvatore Mario TUSA, Trevor GANTER, Desmond William BEMI and Eldred Frederick GLODE died as a result. Investigations conducted to date have established that the fire was deliberately lit.
