ATTEMPTED BOMBING AND ARSON |

REWARD: The Queensland Government has approved a reward of $10,000 for information from the public leading to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the Attempted Bombing and Arson of the Forest Hill Hotel at Forest Hill, on 29 August, 1987.
FREE PARDON: In addition, the Government will recommend to His Excellency the Governor that a free pardon be extended to any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.
The allocation of the $10 000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of Police, Brisbane.
At about 7.20am on Saturday, 29 August, 1987, a stolen motor vehicle, a grey Ford Falcon sedan, was located outside the Forest Hill Hotel with a hose running from its petrol tank through holes bored in the front door of the Hotel. The carpet in the hotel was impregnated with petrol. Incendiary devices attached to the vehicle and the hose failed to ignite. The vehicle involved carried registration number (NSW) OHE-217 at the time it was stolen from Sydney, New South Wales on 27 April, 1987.
