REWARD:
The Minister for Police has approved a reward of $100,000 be offered for information which leads to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Thomas John BACCON at Kingaroy on or about 1 June 2001.
INDEMNITY FROM PROSECUTION:
In addition, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.
The allocation of the $100,000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of the Police Service.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At about 2.00 pm on Friday 1 June 2001, the body of a male person was located face down in a table drain off the Goodger-Cooyar Road approximately five kilometers from the township of Kingaroy. The body was subsequently identified as that of Thomas John BACCON, 35 years, of no fixed place of abode. A Post Mortem concluded that death was due to gunshot wounds to the head and that death had occurred within the previous 48 hours. The deceased was last seen alive in the main street of Nanango on or about 29 May 2001. His movements after that time are unknown.
