The Minister for Police and Corrective Services has approved a reward of $50,000 be offered for information which leads to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the Bombing of the Factory Night Club, Rockhampton, on 28 June 1990.
INDEMNITY FROM PROSECUTION:
In addition, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.
The allocation of the $50,000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of the Police Service.
At about 4.10 a.m. on Thursday 28 June 1990, a muffled explosion was heard at the Factory Night Club, situated at the Headricks Buildings, 189 East Street, Rockhampton. Investigations revealed that one of the timing devices attached to a bomb had failed to detonate, had this second device detonated the building would have been completely destroyed.
