REWARD:
The Minister for Police and Corrective Services has approved a reward of $50,000 be offered for information which leads to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the Bombing of the Shark Night Club, Rockhampton, on 10 November 1989.
INDEMNITY FROM PROSECUTION:
In addition, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.
The allocation of the $50,000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of the Police Service.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At about 3.05am on Friday 10 November 1989, an explosion was reported at the Shark Night Club situated at the intersection of Fitzroy and Bolsover Streets, Rockhampton. Whilst members of the Police, Fire and Ambulance Services were in attendance at the building another explosion occurred resulting in a Fire Officer and a Police Officer receiving serious injuries. A further two explosive devices were discovered which had failed to detonate. Extensive damage was caused to the structure of the building.
