REWARD:
The Minister for Police and Corrective Services has approved a reward of $250,000 be offered for information which leads to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Michael Cleaver DAVIES at Paradise Point, Gold Coast on 17 April 2002.
INDEMNITY FROM PROSECUTION:
In addition, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.
The allocation of the $250,000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of the Police Service.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At about 11.56 am on Wednesday 17 April 2002 the body of Michael Cleaver DAVIES, 55 years, was located in his residence at 2/130 The Esplanade, Paradise Point. A Post Mortem revealed that Mr DAVIES died as the result of a single gun shot wound to the back of the head fired at close range. There were no signs of forced entry and no signs of a struggle. A neighbour reported hearing a sound similar to a gun shot between 11.10 am and 11.27 am that morning.
