REWARD:
The Minister for Police and Corrective Services has approved a reward of $250,000 be offered for information which leads to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Elizabeth Rebekka HENRY at Samford on 12 February 1998.
INDEMNITY FROM PROSECUTION:
In addition, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.
The allocation of the $250,000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of the Police Service.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At about 5.00 am on Thursday 12 February 1998 the naked body of Elizabeth Rebekka HENRY, 30 years, was located by a jogger in a cleared gravel reserve on Bygotts Road, Samford. The victim was lying face down. She had suffered several blows to the head with an unknown instrument. A distinctive pattern of bruising was located on the back of the victim. An attempt had also been made to incinerate her body. The victim was last seen alive at the intersection of Terrace and Brunswick Streets, Fortitude Valley at approximately 11.45pm on 11th February 1998.
