REWARD:
The Minister for Police and Corrective Services has approved a reward of $250,000 be offered for information which leads to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Gabriel Ingrid JAHNKE, and Michelle Ann RILEY.

INDEMNITY FROM PROSECUTION:
In addition, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.

The allocation of the $250,000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of the Police Service.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The body of Gabriel Ingrid JAHNKE was found at the bottom of a steep embankment at the side of the Pacific Highway, Ormeau, about at approximately 8am on 13 October 1973. The body of Michelle Ann RILEY was found about 12 metres from the roadway on the Mount Tamborine Highway 6km south of Logan Village at about 6pm on 23 October 1973. The cause of death in each instance was a fractured skull. Gabriel Ingrid JAHNKE and Michelle Ann RILEY were last seen alive when they alighted from a Black and White Taxi near Petrie Bight, Brisbane, at about 10am on Saturday 6 October 1973.
