REWARD:
The Minister for Police and Corrective Services has approved a reward of $100 000 be offered for information which leads to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Jaano KRUUSER.
INDEMNITY FROM PROSECUTION:
In addition, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.
The allocation of the $100 000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of the Police Service.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At 7.25am on Wednesday, 16 August 1995, the body of Jaano KRUUSER was located in a residence at 8 Abingdon Street, Woolloongabba. The interior of the residence had been ransacked after entry was gained through an open kitchen window and there were signs of a violent struggle.
The victim had received knife wounds to the chest and neck and massive head injuries. A number of items had been taken including a gold "Loyal" gents watch inscribed "J KRUUSER 2.1.93 20 years of service Kennedy Taylor (Qld) Pty Ltd" on the back.
He was last seen alive at about 4.00pm on Saturday 12 August 1995 leaving the Clarence Corner Hotel in Stanley Street, Woolloongabba.
