REWARD:
The Minister for Police has approved a reward of $50000 be offered for information which leads to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Son Truong LUU at West End on 9 May 1999.
INDEMNITY FROM PROSECUTION:
In addition, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.
The allocation of the $50000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of the Police Service.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
At about 9.00pm on Sunday 9 May 1999 the body of Son Truong LUU was located at Marty’s on Vulture, Vulture Street, West End. A Post Mortem examination revealed that the victim had suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest. Investigations have disclosed that he was one of a number of persons involved in an altercation in the toilet block of the premises a short time earlier.
